It's the most wonderful time of the year! Almost!

Posted: December 4, 2014

But decidedly wonderful! Because this is the first of our December weekly videos, we decided it most appropriate to open with the first song from our 2012 record release party. Please enjoy our banjo-rific take on "I Have a Little Dreidel"! The fun continues with the classic Springsteen rendition of "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," so y'all had better be good, for goodness sake! Check our YouTube channel for individual credits, and be sure to Subscribe and keep up with all the Sugarpills happenings.

We've Dressed In Our Holiday Best!

Posted: November 28, 2014

Greetings, SugarFans!

Alexis and Christmas Tree Girl You may notice some small changes here on our homepage: Santa's elves have been working tirelessly to give the website a slight makeover, and to include some NEW FEATURES! The biggest and brightest is our newly updated Wish List, where you can still send us requests and get in touch. But now, there's a way for you to share just what Christmas means to you. How so? Read on!

As part of the coming year we are going to be sharing videos of holiday memories and magical happenings. Kevin's been editing video footage from the record release party and rehearsals, and we are preparing to launch a video a week now through Christmas on our YouTube Channel. After the New Year, premiere 'Pills Kevin, Angelica, and Alexis will have recorded THEIR Christmas Memories and will release them starting in January.

But you all KNOW how much we love the holidays, so this time we want to hear from YOU! We've created a “Share” option on our Wish List where you can submit your Christmas stories and memories, and we'll be releasing a fan piece every month for AT LEAST the coming year, depending on how much you all have to say.

Not a fan of being on film? No worries! You are also invited to submit written stories, poetry, musings, images, even links to other things i.e. other peoples' stories which have struck a chord with you (so long as you tell us WHY it's important). You can send and share as much or as little info as you want to include!

Just don't send us anything about "Christmas Shoes," or we WILL release the hounds.

December-edly Yours,
<3 The Sugarpills

The Sugarpills' Sugar-poll!

Posted: November 27, 2014

Does your heart get all a-glow over an open fire? Are you a classic kid who just wants to join in those reindeer games? Maybe you know that Pennsylvania is the place for home-made pumpkin pie. Whatever the case, now's your chance to tell us which Christmas carol YOU want us to take on next!

There's one vote per account, and voting closes at MIDNIGHT PST on Christmas Eve. We'll be announcing the winner Christmas Day, right on the tail of Santa's sleigh ride. Ho-ho-Have at it!

Take the poll now!

Wanna see us do a “poll” dance?

Hello Friends! Because we believe strongly in the democratic method, and that people become invested when they get options (See: Starbucks' secret to success), we have decided to come a-wassailing to you for our next musical venture. We'll be hosting a poll to let you pick a Fan Favorite to record for our next offering! Starting Thanksgiving Day and running through midnight on Christmas Eve, YOU get a say in what we play. Be sure that you're set to receive all our notifications, and check this space on November 27th. The poll goes up as soon as the turkey and trimmings are put away!

Spooky and spirited greetings, y'all! Have we got treats for you, with minimal tricks!

What's This 2014 Remix Single First off, we're pleased to announce a SPECIAL TRACK SNACK in honor of this candy-crazed season: our cover of "What's This?", previously available only on the full-album download, can now be yours as a sweet, sweet single. And Kevin has been toiling and troubling to make it doubly good! He went back to the original source files, added some Halloween spirit (i.e. eye of newt), and now YOU get a shiny new mix of one of our favorite tracks. You can both stream it from Soundcloud and download it for your very own through Noisetrade! It's easier than our trying to hand out candy to each and every one of you, but just as sweet.

But wait, there's more!

We have also been asked back as guests for “The Get Off My Lawn Adults Only Christmas” radio show. Fans may recall last year's airplay of our first-album favorite, "Sometimes You Have to Work on Christmas (Sometimes)." Old Man Freak Boy liked us enough to invite us for another round, and we will be posting airdates as soon as we know the deets from the Man himself. For those of you living near Utica, NY catch the show live at WPNR-fm 90.7. For all you other loyal listeners, we will ALSO post a link to the show's recorded broadcast as soon as it becomes available.

But there is still MORE!

The Merch Store is now bigger and better than ever, with the ability to buy items directly online and expanded offerings. In addition to vinyl stickers, Highly Favored Elf, Jul McCormick-Anesh is stitching up t-shirts with a BRAND NEW DESIGN, featuring our name and some seasonal flair. Order now and adorn your body on our behalf!

We had better stop here before someone goes into a candy-coated coma. Be sure to Like us on Facebook and be the first to know when that single is available to download. Be sure to share your early Christmas decoration sightings as you see them by tagging @TheSugarpills on Instagram or Twitter.

Now everyone be good little ghouls, girls and guys, because Christmas is just around the corner!

Happy Halloweening,
<3 The Sugarskulls Sugarpills
